This palm tree lends a truely tropical look to wherever you put it.
This stocky, single-trunked palm with stiffly
arched, six-foot-long, bright green fronds is noted for
the fall and winter appearance of the very showy
clusters of glossy, bright red fruits which hang below
the leaves at the base of the crown shaft.
It is equally happy in a container or planted in the garden.
Given the right environment, it can easily reach a height of 25 feet,
though it is often much smaller. Especially if planted in a container.
The Christmas Palm has a very neat appearance and is
well-suited to use as a patio, terrace, specimen, or
framing tree.
It is hardy in USDA zones 10B - 11 and needs to be protected from
winter frost. It will do equally well in full sun to part shade.
