Calathea undulata is a beatiful plant with dark green leaves that have purplish undersides. The mid-line of each leaf has white markings that seem to have been painted on with a feathery paint brush. It's just fantastic!

This Calathea only grows about 1 foot tall, which makes it a perfect container plant for the shady patio or inside the house.

It thrives in the shade in moist, rich, well-drained soil. It is hardy to Zone 10.
