Calathea sp. Burle Marx

This is a small Calathea, only growing to about 15" tall, with wonderful foliage. The leaves are pale green with dark green markings radiating out from the mid-vein. The undersides of the leaves are purplish.

Calathea sp. Burle Marx is a perfect ground cover in a shady area. It is also a wonderful container plant for a shady patio or a house plant.

It thrives in the shade in moist, rich, well-drained soil. It is hardy to Zone 10.
